Tempelhof Airport was once the side of the Berlin air lift in which the entire city of Berlin was saved by flights from West Germany.
Now it´s an open public park, in which people not only jog along the former airstrips, they also start planting gardens.
I feel like in Germany they have their own flavour, particularly here it feels like a normal kind of
German community garden in which people have divided up little places.
At the same time though it has the influence of the neighbourhoods around it in things like, what I would call an art installation of the shoes.
Is it just hipster or is it just trying to be arty for arty sake or is there a real reason?
We may never know...
Hallo, hallo...
What is it like to have a garden in a former airport?
Es ist total schön, dass hier einfach jeder durch spazieren kann und sich auch hier hinsetzen kann und einfach mit Kaffee trinken oder manchmal kochen wir auch...ja.
It´s basically the difference between, she is sayin´, the difference between a normal kind of garden community, that it´s so open and people would really just come by and sit and talk for a little bit or cook or just a have a coffee.
