So, Berlin might be Germany´s capital, but it´s also the gateway to eastern europe and in Kvartira in Kreuzberg you get one of the best russian nightlife to be had on this side of Poland.
What is paticularly russian about this bar?
Well, we have a lot of wodka, first of all, almost all of our drinks are made with wodka.
I like the, our special one, „kvartira 64“, right? No, „kvartira 62“, that´s a nice one. Oh good.
Now we drink a wodka. Oh yes, please can you put in some wodka! Cheers, nastrovje!
The bartender is super nice. No, it´s nice atmosphere, the neighbourhoods, some tourists, I don´t know, I like it. Food is fine too. Good food, good russian food.
I am on and off and on and off...okay.
It has got dill, pretty.
You´re busy with your „borschtsch“?
I am very busy with this „borschtsch“
That´s the beautiful thing about bortschtsch, it looks terrible. It doesn´t look terrible, it looks wonderful. Little gobbets of joy in every spoonful. Makes you feel like you´re in Russia.
Here´s very nice, because of the soap-opera, no, because of the people who work here.
Uh, so what would you describe as a soap-opera?
What I would describe as a soap-opera?
Yeah, well, in that specifically happened here? There has been sex in the kitchen.
Mmmh, well, there you go, this is sex soup.
Well, I mean it does have a second living-room kind of type feeling, you know.
Come in, have unmatched comfi, some borschtsch, some wodka, it´s good.
We´re off the record right now, aren´t we? Totally off the record. I spent my life off the record.
