The Berlinale is famous for screening many films that carry a political and of course social message as well. We will attend the Teddy awards tonight which is the award that is rewarded to the gay and lesbian films which screen here at the Berlinale. LBGTIQ!
Why is this party and the Berlinale so important do you think? The Berlinale or the Teddy award?
Both. Both. The Berlinale is very important in case of the Teddy award of course!
I love the atmosphere of the festival so I really wanted to premier here and I mean I'm really happy. What, what kind of award did you get? The, the best feature film. Oh, really, that's amazing. Yeah, yes! I saw the film I really loved it. Great compliments here.
And, um, is it your first time your guys first time in Berlin? No. First time in Europe. First time in Europe? Ja. What, what is your impression of Berlin? Just awesome! The best impression, the best impression. Yeah. Yes. Would like 2 weeks more. Thank you very much. Thank you. Obrigade! De nada.
Apart from the Teddy awards why do you think the Berlinale is so well known around the world? What makes it so special? Well the Berlinale is the biggest audience festival I mean that's the big
difference to the other big festivals in Europe. They only have professionals attending so we can play if we dare with the audience to support the film and the buyers, the professionals might like
that film only because the audience says yes. That's a combination we worked on.
What are you doing at the Teddy awards? Are you an actor? So an actor? No, no, no, just sitting in the audience and try to looking famous. What we have to say is: we have so many Hollywood artists, so many Hollywood stars here in Berlin during the Berlinale and I think that's a point we have to say thank you to Professor Doctor Kosslick!
LG...LB...Can you do that for me? LBGTIQ! It's your job, isn't it? It is. Kinda. You did it great! So together one more time: LBGT...
